🍵TEA – Crush, Tear, Curl (CTC)

Tea CTC is a type of black tea from the Assam region of India, processed using the “Crush, Tear, Curl” (CTC) method. This mechanical process creates small, hard tea pellets or granules instead of whole leaves, which results in a bold, strong, and malty brew.

🍵TEA – Blended CTC

Blended Assam CTC tea is to achieve a strong, malty, and full-bodied flavour. The blending process often combines different grades of Assam CTC, or even other teas and spices, to create a consistent, desired taste.

🍵TEA – Orthodox

The “orthodox” designation refers to the traditional, labour-intensive production method involving withering, rolling, oxidation, and drying of the whole tea leaves, which results in a distinct flavour profile and a golden-tippy appearance.

🌾RICE – Joha (aromatic)

Joha rice is a premium, small-grained aromatic rice. A unique, sweet, and floral aroma, often described as having a natural sandalwood scent, and a delicate, rich taste.

🌾RICE – Bora (waxy)

Bora rice is a traditional, low-amylose glutinous rice. Known for its distinct sticky and waxy texture, which comes from its high amylopectin content. Bora rice is rich in protein and micro-nutrients, with a high digestibleness.

🌾RICE – Bao/Bhaodhan (red/deepwater rice)

Bao rice, is a red, iron-rich, organic, and indigenous deep-water paddy variety. Known for its high nutritional value, it contains anthocyanins (giving it its red color), iron, protein, zinc, and various vitamins, making it a highly nutritious and resilient superfood.
